The Director of the GATE Institute, Prof. Silvia Ilieva presented the project for the establishment of a Center of Excellence as an example of successful cooperation between Bulgaria and Sweden in research and innovation in the field of Information technology.
This happened at the webinar “Doing Business with Sweden, a mutual opportunity for Bulgaria and Sweden”, organized with the support of the Swedish-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce.
The forum aimed to discuss the various opportunities for Bulgarian business to expand and cooperate with Sweden, as well as how Bulgaria can be a valuable market for Swedish business in the field of Information technology. The ambassadors of Bulgaria and Sweden, representatives of the Bulgarian government, academia and business took part in it.
Prof. Ilieva presented the goals and scope of the project, emphasizing the partnership with Chalmers University and the mutual benefits from it, both for the Bulgarian and the Swedish side. “Cooperation with experienced researchers and increasing our innovation opportunities are part of the added value of our partnership,” pointed out Prof. Ilieva.
