The Director of the GATE Institute, Prof. Silvia Ilieva, was the moderator of Panel III, entitled NEXTGEN HEALTH (Healthcare of the Next Generation) of the Eighth National Pharma Forum, which took place on March 10, 2021.
The event was organized by Manager magazine as a broad national debate with the participation of politicians, representatives of the pharmaceutical industry, working in the field of healthcare, public and professional organizations, leading health and medical experts.
During the presentation panel dedicated to the next generation of healthcare, representatives of the pharmaceutical industry and technology companies revealed new approaches for implementing knowledge, innovative solutions and scientific advances in the creation of next generation therapies, early diagnosis, affordable treatment to improve physical health and quality of life.
In the ensuing discussion, the panelists highlighted the role of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for innovation in the development of new drugs and therapies.
The representatives of Teva and IQVIA companies and GATE expressed a will to initiate a joint pilot project and at the end of the year to demonstrate a good example of a new innovative solution in the field of digital healthcare.
“During the Covid-19 pandemic, data sharing becomes especially important in order to offer personalized therapies,” summarised Prof. Ilieva.
