Mariya-Pantusheva
With the pilot project “City Digital Twin” we aim to start understanding and assessing the behavior of our urban environment exposed to various and ever-changing external factors. Once we are able to predict this behaviour and control it, we would improve our quality of living. Mariya Pantusheva is part of the research team of GATE Institute. Her research area includes computer simulation of urban processes taking into consideration different factors and exposures such as noise and air pollution, climate, terrain topology, urbanization and infrastructure. She has a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from the University of architecture, civil engineering and geodesy, in Sofia. She specializes in seismic design and works on a doctoral thesis addressing the specific aspects of fluid-structure interaction during an earthquake in industrial applications. Mariya has over 7 years of experience in investment design, computer modelling, FEA, CFD and FSI analysis for various industries.
