GATE Open Visualization lab provides excellent facilities for investigation, experimentation and validation of the results of GATE project. As well, it is of particular importance for presentation and dissemination of the Institute’s achievements and outcomes.
GATE Data Visualization Lab establishment and research is supported by Chalmers extensive expertise in data visualization.
The Visualization lab is an open, neutral collaborative area for working with topological, spatial and interactive data. It is used for the development of visual models on Big Data and for their visualization after applying data analytics. It is built using specialised equipment based on CAVE Automatic Virtual Environment which supports all required modes of visualization (2D, 3D and VR).
Three separate spaces are equipped within the Visualization Lab – The Fusion studio and Visualization lobby host the events, organized by the GATE’s team for visual demonstrations and data visualization, while the Visualization working space supports the research and development.
