Project Manager at GATE Institute for Big Data for a Smart Society

GATE Institute is seeking an inspired professional to lead the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) with a focus on developing business opportunities for public funding of research and innovation activities.

Responsibilities

 

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in developing project plans and budgeting. You will be responsible for coordinating human resources, managing subcontractors, and ensuring the achievement of project goals.

 

Your responsibilities will include monitoring and controlling research activities, disseminating information, and ensuring adherence to the project’s budget and quality objectives.

 

Additionally, you will take part in preparing proposals, organizing meetings, and delivering presentations.

 

You will actively engage in identifying suitable partners for collaboration and/or for addressing specific cases.

 

You will have the opportunity to create reports and coordinate with the team, motivating everyone to achieve shared goals.

 

You must be ready to adopt new technologies and resolve conflicts that may arise.

 

Your role also includes other specific tasks related to the position.

 

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, engineering, or a related field. Knowledge and experience in international relations will be considered an advantage.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role.

 

Required Expertise

  • Additional specialisation in planning, management and reporting of projects with European and national public funding is an advantage;
  • An established international and national business network and personal contacts in the Public Sector will be considered a strong advantage;
  • Excellent oral and written English language skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office;
  • Team player with great interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong self-motivation, results orientation, organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Strong negotiation skills when working with partners and contractors;
  • Time management skills and ability to work under pressure.

Recruiting stages

  1. Evaluation of the documents submitted by the candidates and admission to the procedure of those meeting the requirements set out in the notice. The successful candidates will be informed by 02.2025.
  2. An interview with the successful candidates will take place until 002.2025
  3. All interviewed candidates will be informed of the outcome of the competition.
  4. The selected candidates will be appointed on a contract basis.
