Responsibilities

• Coordination of the companies’ participation in the DIANA (NATO) tests;
• Participation in information and communication activities between the participants and the Institute in accordance with regulatory requirements and good practices;
• Planning and coordinating communication and information activities in the DIANA ecosystem;
• Participating in advising companies on any queries or issues arising;
• Ensuring proper coordination and participation in executive level correspondence on tests;
• Maintaining the framework for coordinating the Institute’s resources in its role as a test center by reviewing and providing input data for documentation, maintaining up-to-date specialized databases, producing reports;
• Preparation and distribution of press releases, photographs and other information materials;
• Maintaining a structured archive of tests conducted, companies involved and potential ones;

Education and Experience Required

• Secondary or higher education in business administration or a related field. Knowledge and experience in international relations will be an advantage;
• At least 1 year professional experience in a similar position.

The Institute for Big Data for a Smart Society is seeking an experienced Project Software Applications Manager. The position entails full responsibility for the planning, organization, and successful implementation of the development of a web-based platform for Data Space.

About the Project

We are developing a web-based platform for Data Space that will enable more comprehensive and effective management of the data space, implementation and validation of data policies, and fulfillment of project requirements for the MOBILITY Data Space. The manager will lead a multidisciplinary team of developers, business analysts, and researchers and ensure the successful implementation of the platform in accordance with project requirements.

• Planning and managing the project plan, interim and final deliverables, and project resources and budget
• Ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of functionality in accordance with requirements

• Researches and analyses the landscape of innovative approaches that could significantly contribute to the scientific goals of GATE in the field of advanced data analytics, applied to the four application domains at GATE: Digital Health, Future Cities, Intelligent Government and Smart Industry;
• Adapts current machine learning research to high consequence real world applications and integrate solutions into practical tool chains;
• Pursues independent (but complementary) research interests and interact with a broad spectrum of scientists internal and external to the Institute;

Data spaces are a highly innovative area that is gaining increasing popularity at both the European and regional levels as a key element of the future data-driven economy. Data spaces provide an environment that facilitates secure and trusted data exchange between participants and offer a comprehensive framework encompassing the technological, business, and organizational aspects of this exchange. The researchers will be involved in an international project in collaboration with two of the most prestigious research institutes in Europe: Norway’s SINTEF Institute and Ireland’s INSIGHT Institute.
