The Bucharest University of Economic Studies, in collaboration with the GATE Institute, organised a Data Science International Summer School in Predeal, Romania, from July 22 to July 31, 2022.
Ten guest lecturers – prominent scientists from prestigious universities and research institutions in the USA, UK, Spain, Norway, Bulgaria, and Romania – delivered data-related topics such as statistics, machine learning, deep learning, data analytics, and data management, among others. The sessions involved both theory and practical exercises.
About 40 participants attended the summer school and received certificates. Among them were four GATE researchers: Radostin Mitkov, Milena Borukova, Kaloyan Karamitov and Stanimira Nikolova.
At the end of the training, the participants prepared and presented final projects.
