Denitsa Stoilova, Business Development Manager at GATE was among the participants in the 3rd Forum “Forbes Healthcare Summit”, which brought together the leaders in the healthcare sector who look at healthcare in a new way and use novel opportunities to improve healthcare and people’s lives, in general.
Denitsa moderated the discussion “Bulgaria as a hub for health information technologies”. Together with Alexander Milev, executive director of Proxiad SEE, and Martin Parvanov, product manager at HALO Diagnostics, they discussed the possibilities of how Bulgaria can be a leader in the field of information technology in healthcare.
GATE is diligently developing its applied research in the field of “Digital Health” in this direction.
The VELES project, coordinated by GATE, aims to stimulate innovation in Southeast Europe by creating a regional data space for smart healthcare and a sustainable local ecosystem in Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus and Romania. The teams work on the development of cutting-edge technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things for the benefit of personalized medicine, informed decision-making and the improvement of healthcare services.
