The program is a joint initiative of the GATE Institute and the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University.

The master’s program lasts three semesters and is aimed at training specialists in the field of big data and artificial intelligence. Its graduates will be able to work in the professions of the future, where technologies support the creation of innovative services and products in areas such as health care, transport, economy, finance. They will be able to work effectively as data analysts and engineers, machine learning and natural language processing specialists, data scientists.

Given the ever-expanding palette of economic and social applications of big data, very soon there will be no profession or specialty that does not require such expertise. It is no coincidence that the shortage of specialists in the field of data and its management grows with each passing year.

In order to meet the real needs of science and business, the Master’s program “Big Data Technologies” includes courses by leading Bulgarian and international scientists from international universities and experts in the field of big data,  as well as work on real practical cases and projects in innovative labs and big data platform. Students will have the opportunity to learn technologies and create solutions based on them. Work with mentors from leading companies in this field will allow them to gain the necessary confidence, preparing them for the implementation of real scenarios in the field of data .
