FLEdge aims to develop a hierarchical flexibility energy management system based on a distributed and decentralized architecture with a novel core element – the Edge-Energy Management (EEM) device.
The project is implemented in partnership with the following organisations:
The FLEdge project is focused on pioneering a hierarchical flexibility energy management system utilizing a distributed and decentralized architecture.
At its core is the novel Edge-Energy Management (EEM) device, which leverages advanced AI and data processing techniques to optimize energy consumption at both building and city levels. By integrating tools such as short-term energy forecasting and hybrid AI frameworks, FLEdge aims to advance scientific knowledge in smart energy systems, address pressing challenges in sustainable urban energy management, and drive innovation in the energy flexibility domain.
The FLEdge project will significantly advance the transition to sustainable urban energy management by addressing challenges in renewable energy integration, demand variability, and energy efficiency. By implementing AI-driven tools like digital twins, predictive energy management, and edge-energy technologies, the project aims to optimize energy usage, reduce carbon emissions, and promote renewable energy adoption.
