Artificial Intelligence is a tool for better understanding of the human intelligence.

 

Vassil Vassilev is a Reader in Artificial Intelligence and Head of the Cyber Security Research Center of London Metropolitan University – UK and a guest-researcher at GATE Institute of Sofia University. He graduated from the Technical University in Sofia and completed his PhD at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Founder and Head of the Department of Informatics of New Bulgarian University Dr Vassilev was an active player in the process of restructuring the higher education in Bulgaria during the 90-ties with a series of projects funded under the TEMPUS and Copernicus programmes of the European Commission.  He has valuable experience in developing enterprise software from the end of the 90-ties working as an offshore programmer for the American company Appletware, CTO of the Bulgarian-American company Rila Software and project manager for General Electric Capital Services in London, UK. Since 2000 Dr Vassilev has been working in the UK where he has taught at three English and one American university. He is an author of one technical book and co-author of two other books and has more than 50 publications in Elsevier, Springer, IEEE, Cambridge University Press and elsewhere in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Semantic Technologies, Enterprise Systems and Cyber Security.
