Scientists from GATE welcomed Smart Scroll Academy students to the institute’s high-tech building to introduce them to the secrets of the research profession and to familiarize them closely with how scientific discoveries are born.

GATE Institute will host the first “slow” hackathon in Bulgaria – DisinfoHack 2025, bringing together students, experts and technology leaders to develop innovative solutions to counter disinformation. The opening event will take place on 12 March at 9.30 am in GATE’s high-tech building.
DisinfoHack 2025, the first of its kind educational and innovative initiative in Bulgaria aimed at combating misinformation, was launched on March 12, 2025, at the GATE Institute. For two months, participants will work on developing sustainable solutions to increase information literacy and digital sustainability in society.
GATE had the honour of welcoming Carlo Borghini, NATO Assistant Secretary-General for Executive Management, during his official visit to Bulgaria, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria. As a NATO DIANA Test Centre for Big Data and AI, GATE was a key part of his itinerary, reinforcing the Institute`s role in supporting NATO’s technological innovation and digital transformation.
