The new Master’s program “Big Data Technologies”, a joint initiative of the GATE Institute and the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Sofia University of St. Kliment Ohridski”, will be presented on August 31 at 6 p.m. in hall 325 of FMI.
The participants in the event will meet with Bulgarian and foreign professors from prestigious universities in Italy, the Netherlands and Sweden, who will present the courses they lead, practical cases that will be worked on, as well as the knowledge and skills the future masters will obtain. Representatives of potential employers will reveal the opportunities for professional realisation and the prospects for career development to the graduates of the programme. Among them are leading Bulgarian companies such as Ontotext and Rila Solutions – strategic partners of GATE, who will also support the programme by providing internships and scholarships. The event will also feature information on scholarships from DeepMind, the British company known for its scientific research and innovation in the field of artificial intelligence.
The Master’s program “Big Data Technologies” is aimed at training specialists in the field of big data and artificial intelligence. Master’s graduates will be able to work effectively as data analysts and engineers, machine learning and natural language processing specialists, data scientists.
Within three semesters, the future masters will be trained in innovative laboratories and work on practical cases and projects. Thus, they will acquire professional competence and skills in data management, their processing and development of various systems based on big data and artificial intelligence.
