The funding body is AI4Media (https://www.ai4media.eu/) – a 4-year-long project, funded under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, which aspires to become a Centre of Excellence engaging a wide network of researchers and companies across Europe and beyond. It focuses on delivering the next generation of core AI advances and training to serve the Media sector, while ensuring that the European values of ethical and trustworthy AI are embedded in future AI deployments.

The TRACES project was one of the finalists of Open Call 1, for researchers and companies, innovating in the artificial intelligence and media sectors. It achieved a very high score.

The start of the project was marked with a kick-off meeting on March 2nd, 2022, when all ten sub-grantee projects gave short presentations. GATE was represented by Irina Temnikova, PhD, project coordinator. AI4Media and the representatives of the funding call management platform FS6 (https://www.f6s.com/) shared details about the further projects monitoring and evaluation processes.
