GATE presented the new Master’s program “Big Data Technologies”, a joint initiative of the Institute and FMI at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, at an information event on August 31, 2023.
At the event, the Director of GATE, Prof. Silvia Ilieva, who is also the head of the Master’s programme, gave an overview of the programme, pointing out how the training will be organized and the advantages of the learning environment. After that, professors from the GATE team and foreign lecturers presented the courses they lead. The guest lecturers – Prof. Graham Kemp from Chalmers University, Sweden and Dr. Eng. Christoph Bohm, Managing partner of the innovative company Bakdata, aroused special interest. Dr. Valentin Pavlov, vice president of Rila Solutions AD and Dr. Nikola Tulechki from Ontotext – strategic partners of GATE, talked about the support that the two companies provide to the Master’s programme and revealed the career development opportunities for the master’s graduates.
