The forum was held in a hybrid format. Its purpose was to present the existing evidence on the health consequences of air pollution in Bulgaria and the region, as well as their relationship with current policies and actions.

Prof. Desislava Petrova-Antonova, head of a research group at GATE, presented a report on “Data spaces and digital twins in support of research and evaluation of air quality and health in Bulgaria.”

The organizers presented highlights from the special report for Bulgaria of the Health Effects Institute on air quality and health in our country. This was followed by a discussion and expert comments of experts on the findings of the report.

A special guest and participant in the forum was the Minister of Environment and Water Borislav Sandov.
