This year, GATE Institute participated again in the “European Researchers’ Night” – the event that reveals the human face of science and shows in a user-friendly manner how scientific achievements change people’s lives.
It took place on September 29 – 30. The GATE’s stand was situated in the Rectorate of Sofia University.
Our young and talented researchers took the visitors to an exciting journey which revealed some of the secrets of big data and artificial intelligence. They had also prepared interesting demonstrations related to our applied research areas “Future Cities”, “Digital Health” and “Disinformation Detection and Research”.
This year, the motto of the European Researchers’ Night was “Science and innovation are the key to the desired future”. In this regard, the main theme of the events was the role of science and innovation for the transition to a Green and Digital Economy in Europe. Therefore, the presentation of the research results of the Centers of Excellence (UNITe, GATE, ICT, PlantaSYS) was of great importance. The program at the Rectorate was closely related to the celebration of 135 anniversary of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
